How curious that the Odin/Mercury figure became more centralized in Germanic cultures while remaining less so in the the Greco-Roman.  If Odin, like Hermes/Mercury, is a guardian of souls to the afterlife, what might it say about the Norse/Germanic psyche, or the human mind in general, to have a psychopomp as a &quot;most worshiped&quot; god?]]></description>
